Brito then took the company international, and the brand became known throughout Europe as the best soap making factory in the world. The factory today is still family owned and run by the great grandson of Achilles de Brito.

The family continues with the original soap making traditions that were set forth by the original founders The milling or "mixing" of the soap is a process where the soap elements are passed through the mill and the more air bubbles are forced out of the mix, the more the fragrance is evenly distributed. Today the secret of the CLAUS PORTO line is that they mill the soap seven times which renders a dense, hard soap that is very fragrant. All of the soaps are naturally air - dried on racks for two to three weeks, ensuring an even, consistent bar. This allows the bars to not crack, or melt down when the consumer uses them. The final soap product, and more importantly the base ingredients (many soap producers cannot make this claim) are never tested on animals. As this soap is completely natural and 100% bio-degradable, it is environmentally friendly.
